Therapy With Children

Both of us have worked extensively as child therapists in community mental health centers where we saw children of all ages, with broad ranges of problems.

Bob has special skills in working with grade school and adolescent boys who have difficulty with self-esteem and anger. He also has experience with children who are victims of abuse.

Barbara has special training and experience with girls who are survivors of sexual abuse. She also has particular interest in children who are acutely or chronically ill, physically injured or disabled, or who have suffered the traumatic illness, injury or death of a family member.

In addition, both of us have extensive experience with children from non-traditional families. We work with children whose parents are separated or divorced, single by choice, gay or lesbian. We are also very familiar with the issues of blended families and foster parenting. We welcome referrals of parents needing guidance in child management.
